Some background This is my first Tron video game. The first movie was okay; I really liked the second movie Tron Legacy except for the evolution theme, which I thought was ridiculous and they contradicted it throughout the movie by referring to “creator” and similar phrases.

I thought this video game was a really good prequel to the Tron Legacy movie, including cutscenes, characters, and storyline. It fit the movie like a glove, and that was a pleasant surprise. So, if you want some history behind the movie, then play this game. In the game You’ll fight Clu’s bad guys, you’ll fight viruses, you’ll fight light tanks, you’ll pilot your own light tank and fight with it, and you’ll ride light cycles.

But for light cycles, you mainly ride and avoid objects; there really isn’t any battling done using the cycles like there was in the arcade game.

You destroy the bad guys with a variety of discs. There is A LOT of jumping, walking on walls, jumping between walls, walking and jumping on walls, etc. That surprised me at first because that wasn’t in the movie. It adds a different element to the game i. It took me a few hours to learn the right key sequences based on the terrain. It wasn’t easy, but once I got the hang of it, I liked it. I used a Logitech G mouse almost primarily there were tricky maneuvers where I had to use the keyboard and the mouse.

I played the game on “casual” difficulty. And I recommend that you do that, if you aren’t used to the jumping stuff. They did a good job of showing you what to do in a scene by showing various things in the room before the action started , so you would know what the objective was. Sometimes it took a little figuring out like what sequence of objects to hit in order to open a door. The saves are checkpoint saves. I do not like checkpoint saves, but they are okay with this game they are frequent, and in the right spots So, there wasn’t too much replay for me when I messed up.

To skip a cutscene, press the left mouse button until you see the skip icon, and then press it one more time to skip the scene. That might be useful if you have to replay part of a level due to the checkpoint saves. I confirmed with Disney that v1.
