Sims 3 game launcher downloads not showing up. Seriously, how do I install stuff from the Exchange?

I have a feeling this is related to the new 70’s stuff pack or update 1. Motoki View Profile View Posts. This will force the game to redownload all the launcher updates the next time you run it and should get it all patched up to the current version.

Also keep in mind what MasterW3 said in the other thread that to install content with the Steam version of the game you must have run the launcher via launching the game from Steam. If the launcher opened outside of Steam either for a browser link or clicking on a sims3pack file or something like that it will not install the content. At least for me it won’t, so make sure you play the game from Steam and have the launcher open that way before trying to install anything.

It has your saves, so just move or rename it. Then see if you can install content from a fresh start that way. I uninstalled it, cleared DCBackup, and then reinstalled it and then it finally showed up in the menu. Completely uninstalling it can be complicated, depending how many times it shows up installed in your Launcher. You have to remove all objects listed as Roaring Heights. I think it showed up twice under the “Objects” tab in Installed Content, and once again in “Lots.

I’m have a similar problem. The launcher will show the items in the download tab. I can install them, and they show up as installed The items aren’t in the game and when I go back to the launcher, they are no longer installed so I don’t have the option to uninstall.

It only happens on some items, e. Hidden Springs, but then others install fine. I’m not entirely sure if this will help, but I thought I’d give it a mention. It’s a thread Hubby wrote last year. Are you making sure you run the launcher with administrator privileges when you add new content? Right click your shortcut to Sims 3 and select Run as Administrator. I’m having the same problem with all my store content. It shows up under installed, but when you try to install it, basically says “you don’t have the most current version” this is hard to sims 3 game launcher downloads not showing up as it goes by quickly on the screen and you have to know where it is, you won’t see it very easily.
