Fri May 03, pm I use Pixelmator Pro every day and have come across the need for text on a path on a number of occasions. In the attached example, I created the entire file with Pixelmator Pro but used Phonto to create the curved text in the lower right.

It’s not an ideal solution but I was able to get the job done without too much fuss. Typically, I avoid text on a path until Pixelmator provides it. Sat May 25, am I, too have been looking for a way to put text on a curve in Pixelmator Pro. Thanks for your suggestion about Phonto.

I’ve downloaded it to my iPadPro, but haven’t figured out how to put text on a curve with it. Any suggestions Jeff? Shooting yourself is a very bad idea. It cannot be so difficult, so company just does not want to provide better than GIMP tool.

And while we do read pretty much every request on almost every major platform and take them into account and add them to our rather extensive feature request list , we do have to prioritise things and this is where disagreements begin.

The Pixelmator team today launches its latest free update, Pixelmator Pro 1. The hero feature of this release is the addition of curved text options. It is now super simple to draw text along a curve, or any freeform path. In addition to the standard Type tool, there is now a dropdown to expose alternative text layouts: circular, path and freeform.

This makes it really easy to add decorative text to your compositions that trace around the perimeter of your scene, unlocking a lot more creativity. The new text tools support all standard typographic features, including tweaks to letter spacing to space out the text along the full width of the path. Also new in version 1. Follow thread. Thu Dec 21, am I’m making a holiday card and want to curve my text. But I didn’t find a tool or anyway to make it. Probably just I haven’t known the usages which can be used to make the effect of some tools yet, because I’m a beginner in Pixelmator Pro I haven’t found tutorials about this.
