A few days ago I was forced to erase everything on my laptop and give it a fresh start. I was the happy owner of an Office Pro licence, acquired through an HUP program with my employer.

This version of Office was not linked to a Microsoft account, and unfortunately the adress used to register and receive the activation key does not longer exist.

As you can guess, I am struggling to retrieve the activation key to Office. I cannot find it in my e-mail the adress no longer exists and all files from my previous C: drive except the AppData folder are erased. I had an exchange via chat with a Microsoft Office support staff, who told me he could only re-send the activation key to the initial adress which doesn’t exist anymore!

Unfortunately with the link you sent me, I can only resend the order history to the email adress that doesn’t exist anymore. And as I understand it, for the HUP current office discount, it’s still active even if you leave the company. Therefore if we apply this principle to the Office licence, I should still be able to use it since I bought it. But I don’t remember the previous terms. The way I understand it, the new rules only apply to subscription versions of Office.
