I copied the whole userdata folder onto a memory stick and restored my laptop, hoping this would work. I noticed that I have no saves. Why is it not there? So even if you save your game save you need to backup and save your GFWL profile, otherwise your saves are lost. Even if you had backed up your saves, these would be encrypted and in all likelihood inaccessible upon reinstallation of the game.

GFWL is a rung below Ubisoft when it comes to barmy copy protection to “protect” the game-buying public Why the hell would you want your saved games encrypted by default or, worse still, erased randomly?
