The game follows the storyline of Tomb Raider: Legend. However, it diverges from that series’ main plot, and revolves instead around the idea of a worldwide conspiracy. In this game, however, Lara must save the world as well as finding out who is behind the attacks on her father’s life.

This first Tomb Raider game is the last chapter in Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider franchise, and as such, it features all the great things that made the previous games so popular. As stated above, it ties up the tale of Lara and her father and also introduces us to the new hero, a girl named Iris.

Despite being only a video game, Crystal Dynamics: Underworld stands out amongst the Tomb Raider video games for a few reasons. First of all, unlike most games in this genre which is usually more action oriented and less story-driven , Tomb Raider: Underworld features strong puzzles and game play that makes it very engrossing and fun to play. Also, despite being a third game, this one has a lot more content than any of the previous games in the Tomb Raider franchise.

One of the most outstanding features in this new Lara Croft adventure is its astounding graphics. Characters, objects and especially landscapes are rendered with plenty of detail. Pay attention, for example, to tree leaves or water: they’re so realistic it makes you feel like touching it. Of course, this means that the game has really high system requirements: another reason to play it on a console instead.
