I bought this to play with my husband despite having the board game in our closet. We both love monopoly and are VERY competitive when playing it. We didn’t like however that the AI always seems to cheat! No matter what I did the AI would always get doubles and never end up in jail.

We played an entire game where neither of us got doubles but the AI did nearly every turn. I know that it was probably somewhat due to randomization but it seems the PS3 favors the non-human players!

Darn electronics. If I wanted to play with a cheater I would have called up a relative! That said it is very entertaining to watch. If you aren’t to competitive about the game or serious it will be a great purchase. If you turn into a shark when you play monopoly than this will drive you mad. I like having the ability to survey properties from above wen playing this o a board or my cell phone but in this game I find it easy to loose track of who owns what.

Speaking of properties, I have another complaint about the AI when it comes to trading. Never trade with the AI.

You will have to shell out more than the property is worth to buy it but will only be offered half what your property is worth for the AI to buy it.

It’s insane and irritating because the AI constantly wants to trade or purchase properties off of you whose worth far exceeds the price the AI is willing to pay. Not only that the AI will constantly try to make these trades until it drives you nuts.
