For Domain environment , I set the ” Windows Management Instrumentation ” service to start automatically in the default computer Policy – Computer Configuration – Windows Settings – Security Settings – System Services – Windows Management Instrumentation.

What discovering is setting this policy breaks many application installations including MS Office now install MS Office Pro Plus without any error!! SO, if you are in a domain environment, my suggestion is to must update Group Policy Object GPO for the WMI service setting and Disable it, even temporarily.

when services window appears on the Screen, scroll down the context so easily find the Windows Management Instrumentation WMI service.

After find then stop this services by right clicking as shown in below pix:. After stopped the WMI services, Right click on that service again and now choose Properties. A dialog-box appears on the screen, remain in the General Tab go to the Startup Type section of this dialog-box and change the setting by selecting Manual option. After selecting the manual option please click on Apply button and then again start the services by clicking on the Start Button as shown below:.

and go back to your own user. Double-check that everything works. This will force the computer to shut down instantly, which will close the installer with the error without giving it the opportunity to roll back its changes.

I have norton on my computer however i dont think this would affect the install. Can anyone offer any advice as to why i am getting this message and how to solve the problem??? If any further system information is needed please ask and i will try to provide. OK, since it’s obstinate, you’re going to have to do things manually, skip them Fix It tools.

Do a clean boot and then follow the process to manually uninstally all office apps.
